چکیده

Massive small unmanned aerial vehicles are envisioned to operate in the near future. While there are lots of research problems need to be addressed before dense operations can happen, trajectory modeling remains as one of the keys to understand and develop policies, regulations, and requirements for safe and efficient unmanned aerial vehicle operations. The fidelity requirement of a small unmanned vehicle trajectory model is high because these vehicles are sensitive to winds due to their small size and low operational altitude. Both vehicle control systems and dynamic models are needed for trajectory modeling, which makes the modeling a great challenge, especially considering the fact that manufactures are not willing to share their control systems. This work proposed to use a neural network approach for modelling small unmanned vehicle’s trajectory without knowing its control system and bypassing exhaustive efforts for aerodynamic parameter identification. As a proof of concept, instead of collecting data from flight tests, this work used the trajectory data generated by a mathematical vehicle model for training and testing the neural network. The results showed great promise because the trained neural network can predict 4D trajectories accurately, and prediction errors were less than 2.0 meters in both temporal and spatial dimensions.

A New Vision-Based and GPS-Signal-Independent Approach in Jamming Detection and UAV Absolute Positioning Assessment

The Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) positioning in the outdoor environment is usually done by the Global Positioning System (GPS). Due to the low power of the GPS signal at the earth surface, its performance disrupted in the contaminated environments with the jamming attacks. The UAV positioning and its accuracy using GPS will be degraded in the jamming attacks. A positioning error about tens of...

GPS Jamming Detection in UAV Navigation Using Visual Odometry and HOD Trajectory Descriptor

Auto-navigating of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) in the outdoor environment is performed by using the Global positioning system (GPS) receiver. The power of the GPS signal on the earth surface is very low. This can affect the performance of GPS receivers in the environments contaminated with the other source of radio frequency interference (RFI). GPS jamming and spoofing are the most serious a...

Design of Fuzzy Neural Network Guidance Law Based on Takagi- Sugeno for UAV

Guidance of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in three-dimensional space was studied in this paper. We designed a three-dimensional fuzzy neural network guidance law with the fuzzy rules of Takagi-Sugeno that based on proportional guidance principle and put the characteristics of the fuzzy neural network control into use. We decomposed the 3-D tracking trajectory into two two-dimensional planes and...

A Framework for Low–Observable Trajectory Generation in the Presence of Multiple Radars

This paper explores the problem of finding a real–time optimal trajectory for unmanned air vehicles (UAV) in order to minimize their probability of detection by opponent multiple radar detection systems. The problem is handled using the Nonlinear Trajectory Generation (NTG) method developed by Milam et al. The paper presents a formulation of the trajectory generation task as an optimal control ...

Gyroscope Random Drift Modeling, using Neural Networks, Fuzzy Neural and Traditional Time- series Methods

In this paper statistical and time series models are used for determining the random drift of a dynamically Tuned Gyroscope (DTG). This drift is compensated with optimal predictive transfer function. Also nonlinear neural-network and fuzzy-neural models are investigated for prediction and compensation of the random drift. Finally the different models are compared together and their advantages a...
